Indications
- evaluation of iliobibial band syndrome
Procedure
- with patient supine, examiner repeatedly flexes & extends the knee with the examiner's thumb on the patients lateral femoral epicondyle
Interpretation
- reproduction of the patient's pain is consistent with iliobibial band syndrome
