Indications
- evaluation for meniscal tear
Procedure
- patient stand on unaffected leg with knee flexed to 5 degrees, examiner holding patient's outstretched hand, affecte knee flexed to 90 degrees with foot off ground
- patient then rotates body inwardly & outwardly 3 times
- the procedure is repeated with the knee flexed 20 degrees
- the procedure is repeated with the patient standing on affectd leg
Interpretation
- medial or lateral joint line pain suggests meniscal tear
