Classification

  • grade A
    • high certainty that benefit is substantial & exceeds risk
    • offer or provide intervention
  • grade B
    • high certainty that benefit is moderate & exceeds risk
    • offer or provide intervention
  • grade C
    • moderate certainty that benefit is small
    • provide intervention on an individual basis
  • grade D
    • moderate-high certainty than intervention is not beneficial or that risks exceed benefits
    • discourage intervention
  • grade I
    • evidence is lacking, of poor quality or conflicting rendering uncertainty of the risks vs benefits
