Etiology

Epidemiology

  • most common in older adults

Clinical manifestations

  • occurs abruptly after coughing
  • pressure-like pain generally bilateral
  • remains severe for seconds to minutes
  • headache severity correlates with cough frequency
  • mild headache may persist for hours
