Etiology
- torsed, infarcted, & detached epiploic appendages that transform into fibrotic masses
Pathology
- acellular, laminated, fibrous tissue
- central proteinaceous material with fibrinoid necrosis, surrounded by a ring of calcification
Clinical manifestations
- generally asymptomatic
- physical examination may be unrevealing despite 10x9.5x7.5 cm 220 g mass (case report)[1]
