Etiology
- idiopathic
- occurs sporadically in people with no family history
Epidemiology
- rare
Clinical manifestations
- laxity of skin
- decreased recoil of skin
- any part of the body can be affected
- skin of the neck & extremities most commonly involved
Management
- no specific therapy
- hyperlaxity of skin often returns following surgery
