Introduction
Mattress or overlay with interconnecting air cells that cyclically inflate & deflate to produce alternating high & low pressure intervals. Cells with larger depth & diameter produce greater pressure relief over the body.
Alternating pressure overlays similar in efficacy to alternating pressure mattress & cost much less [1[
