Uses

• used as a monomer in the production of polyvinyl acetate & polyvinyl alcohol

Adverse effects

• acute inhalation exposure of workers to vinyl acetate may result in eye irritation &/or upper respiratory tract irritation
• chronic occupational exposure does not appear to result in any severe adverse effects, although some instances of upper respiratory tract irritation, cough, &/or hoarseness have been reported
