Introduction

Repeated, unsolicited, verbal or physical sexual contact which is threatening in nature.[2]

Epidemiology

  • 30% of female clinicians in academic medicine feel sexually harassed[2]
  • making a sexual harassment allegation a human resources issue can hurt a woman's career[3] because human resources is about protecting the institution not the individual[3]
