- occurs in pre-existing pulmonary cavities or cysts or in areas of devitalized lung

- surgical resection indicated for patients with hemoptysis
- itraconazole, voriconazole, posaconazole
- asymptomatic patients with stable chest X-ray do not need treatment[1]
