• adverse effect of amiodarone
• adverse effect of hydroxychloroquine

Epidemiology

• common adverse effect of amiodarone

Pathology

• whorl-like pattern of gray or golden brown deposits (hydroxychloroquine) Clinical manifestaitons:
• halos around lights (bilateral)

Diagnostic procedures

• slit-lamp examination of the anterior segment:
  • whorl-like pattern of corneal epithelial deposits bilaterally

Management

• discontinue amiodarone
• wear sunglasses for symptomatic relief
