Indications

• bone pain due to bone metastasis
  • metastatic prostate cancer

Dosage

• intravenous

Injection:

• single-dose glass vials containing 3 mL with 5550 MBq (150 mCi) of samarium-153 at calibration

Mechanism of action

• taken up by bone, releasing radiation into the bone, thus reducing tumor burden & associated pain
