Introduction
associated with greater trochanteric pain syndrome
Clinical manifestations
- a snapping sensation is felt when the hip is flexed & extended
- due to iliotibial tract or other tendons sliding over greater trochanter
- audible snapping or popping
- pain or discomfort often decreases with rest
