Management
- ACTH
- low-dose is probably as effective as high-dose
- may result in better long-term cognitive outcomes than vigabatrin
- vigabatrin not available in US
- insufficient evidence to support treatment with ketogenic diet or other antiepileptic drugs
Prognosis
- shorter time between spasm onset & treatment is associated with better developmental outcome
