Introduction

  • the degree to which the result of a measurement, calculation, or specification can be depended on to be accurate.
  • the extent to which an experiment, test, or measuring procedure yields the same results on repeated trials (reproducible)
  • level of evidence is used to assess reliability in medical research where measurements may be used indirectly to address a hypothesis but are not the direct determinants
