Haglund's deformity

Pathology

• hyperostosis of the posterior & superior calcaneus
• pressure on the attachment of the Achilles tendon to the calcaneus
• may result in pressure on the heel from a shoe
• tendonitis, bursitis

Radiology

• deformity visible on lateral foot radiograph
