Indications

• assessment of insulinoma

Clinical significance

• C-peptide, endogenously produced along with insulin is normally suppressed by administration of exogenous insulin (that does not contain C-peptide)

Notes

• CPT includes (x 5) for serum glucose serum C-peptide (5 specimens ?)
