Indications
- thrombocytopenia
- immune thrombocytopenic purpura (not useful)[5]
Clinical significance
- may be associated with heparin-administration & heparin-induced thrombocytopenia
- may be other cause of thrombocytopenia
- specificity high 93%, but sensitivity low 53% for ITP[6]
