Indications
- hyperuricemia
- prophylaxis in tumor lysis syndrome*
- patients with uric acid nephropathy due to tumor lysis syndrome despite prior allopurinol therapy[2]
* single course of therapy only
Dosage
- 0.2 mg/kg as a 30 minute intravenous infusion daily for up to 5 days
Notes
- more expensive than allopurinol[2]
