Indications
- used to calculate lactate/pyruvate ratio
- used in conjunction with serum lactate & serum glucose to evaluate malignant hyperthermia
- McArdle's disease: no increase after exercise

- 0.3-0.9 mg/dL (venous blood, fasting)
