Introduction

Having a lid (operculum) as in members of the mollusk class Gastropoda (snails), subclass Prosobranchia (operculate snails), & the eggs of certain parasitic worms such as the digenetic trematodes (excepting Schistosomes) & the fish tapeworm Diphyllobothrium latum.
