Etiology
- chronic granulomatous disease appears to be risk factor
Epidemiology
- isolated from plantation soil in Brazil
Pathology
- cause of invasvive aspergillosis (10-12%)[2]
- infection may spread across anatomic planes to the mediastinum & contralateral lung (unusual with A fumigatus)
Management
- widespread antifungal resistance
- more resistant than A fumigatus to
