Indications
- unilateral hearing loss Proceudre:
- a signal is presented to the affected ear at an intensity less than the patient-reported threshold
- a less intense signal of the same frequency is presented simultaneously to the unaffected ear
- if the atient is feigning hearing loss, the signal in the unaffected ear will not be heard
