Epidemiology
- more common in women
Pathology
- focal nodular hyperplasia in the liver
- does not undergo malignant transformation
- is not hormone-responsive
- large central artery runs through a central scar radiating outward as smaller vessels through fibrous tissue that comprises the lesion
- does not confer risk for major bleeding[1]
Differential diagnosis
Management
- resection only if mass effect on neighboring structure(s)
