Introduction
One of the extraocular muscles.
Origin
- superior part of the common tendinous ring that bridges the superior orbital fissure
Insertion
superior part of sclera of eye
Action
- primary: upward movement of globe of eye
- secondary: adduction & intorsion of globe of eye
Innervation
Physical examination
Test: ask patient to look upward & outward
