Introduction
Inferior longitudinal muscle of tongue, an intrinsic muscle of the tongue. It is cylindrical in shape & occupies the underpart of the tongue on either side.
Action
shortens the lower part of the tongue
Innervation
- motor: hypglossal nerve (CN XII)
- sensory: lingual nerve
