Introduction
A thin layer of subcutaneous tissue that lies between the dermis of the skin & the investing layer of deep cervical fascia.
- contains platysma muscle anterolaterally, cutaneous nerves, blood & lymphatic vessels, superficial lymph nodes & variable amounts of fat
