Introduction
The largest of the subarachnoid cisterns between the cerebellum & the medulla oblongata. 2 divisions:
- Posterior cerebellomedullary cistern (cisterna magna)
- located between the cerebellum & the dorsal surface of the medulla
- Lateral cerebellomedullary cistern
- located between the cerebellum & the lateral aspect of the medulla
