Innervation

• interosseous membrane
• tibia & fibula

Course

• a nerve branching from one of the muscular branches of the tibial nerve, passing inferiorly over the posterior surface of the interosseous membrane, innervating it, & sending fibers to innervate the tibia & the fibula
