Introduction

muscle atrophy resulting from denervation; affected fibers are small, angulated & tend to be clustered.

Etiology

• brachial plexus compromise may result in muscle atrophy of the ipsilateral hand
  • pancoast tumor (NSCLC)

Radiology

• chest X-ray if brachial plexus involvement suspected
