Introduction
Benign skin appendage tumors with hair differentiation.
Clinical manifestations
- lesions appear at puberty
- distribution: face, less frequently on scalp, neck & upper trunk
- lesions often begin as a few small pink papules, then gradually increase in size & number
- lesion may be solitary or multiple
- lesions may become quite large
- lesions may appear nodular or as ill-defined plaques
