Introduction
Named for Ernest G Lawrence, inventor of the cyclotron. First synthesized in 1961 by Albert Ghiorso, Torbjorn Sikkeland, Almon E Larsh & Robert M Latimer in Berkeley California.
Occurrence
- produced artificially from californium-251 with boron-11
