sebaceous adenoma

Etiology

• occurs in Muir-Torre syndrome
• associated with tuberous sclerosis

Clinical manifestations

• patients with tuberous sclerosis have numerous pink or skin-colored papules clustered around the nose & chin
• patients without tuberous sclerosis may have 1 or several fibrous papules on the nose & central face

Differential diagnosis

• sebaceous hyperplasia
• acnes
