Introduction

Benign adenoma of intraepithelial eccrine ducts.

Epidemiology

  • occur mostly in women
  • lesions begin at puberty
  • disorder may be familial

Pathology

  • many small ducts in dermis with comma-like tails ("tadpole")

Clinical manifestations

  • 1-2 mm skin-colored or yellow firm papules
  • lesions generally multiple, but may be solitary
  • distribution: most frequently on face, axillae, umbilicus, upper chest & vulva
