Introduction
Benign adenoma of intraepithelial eccrine ducts.
Epidemiology
- occur mostly in women
- lesions begin at puberty
- disorder may be familial
Pathology
- many small ducts in dermis with comma-like tails ("tadpole")
Clinical manifestations
- 1-2 mm skin-colored or yellow firm papules
- lesions generally multiple, but may be solitary
- distribution: most frequently on face, axillae, umbilicus, upper chest & vulva
Management
- electrodessication - lidocaine-prilocaine topical anesthesia
