Epidemiology

• rare
• mostly young adults, occasionally children, rarely infants

Pathology

• cerebral hemispheres most often affected
• may develop in:
  • corpus callosum
  • cerebellum
  • optic nerve
  • brainstem
  • cauda equina

Radiology

• enhancing, well defined lesions
