Introduction
Monoallelic expression or uniparental disomy. Imprinted genes display differential expression patterns & differential replication patterns of maternal & paternal alleles. Imprinted genes appear to be embedded in large DNA domains with differential expression & replication patterns, which may provide a structural imprint of parenteral identity.
