KKXX/KXKXX ER retrieval signal

Introduction
Some integral membrane proteins of the ER use a retrieval system to achieve ER localization. These proteins have type 1 topology with their C-terminus in the cytoplasm. They possess a cytoplasmic domain retrieval signal KKXX or KXKXX (where X can apparently correspond to any amino acid residue.
