Introduction
Zinc fingers are nucleic acid-binding motifs 25-30 amino-acid residues in length. There are two Cys or His residues at both extremities of the domain, involved inccoordination of Zn+2. In the C2H2 type zinc finger, the 1st pair of Zn+2 coordinating amino acid residues are Cys, the 2nd pair are His.
