Etiology
- positive in 80% of patients with Lambert-Eaton mysasthenic syndrome due to lung cancer (small cell carcinoma)
- generally negative in patients with Lambert-Eaton syndrome secondary to non-lung cancer
- 36% of patients have no evidence of cancer

- beta-2 subunit of presynaptic voltage-gated Ca+2 channel (Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome antigen B)
