Clinical significance
- laboratory assay for antiphospholipid antibody (lupus anticoagulant)
- useful even when patient is anticoagulated with heparin or warfarin
Interferences
- elevated serum C-reactive protein interferes qith PTT-based hexagonal phase phospholipid neutralization assay[3]
