Function

  • UDPGTs are of major importance in the conjugation & subsequent elimination of potentially toxic xenobiotics & endogenous compounds
  • active on polyhydroxylated estrogens (including estriol, 4-hydroxyestrone & 2-hydroxyestriol
  • active on xenobiotics, including 4-methylumbelliferone, 1-naphthol, 4-nitrophenol, 2-aminophenol, 4-hydroxybiphenyl & menthol
  • capable of 6 alpha-hydroxyglucuronidation of hyodeoxycholic acid
