• the soluble form is rapidly degraded
• interacts with histone H3 that is trimethylated at Lys-4 (H3K4me3)
• interacts with GSK3B

• a minor proportion is also detected in the nucleoplasm

Expression

• expression is tightly regulated during the cell cycle

• down-regulated at the G1-S phase transition of the cell cycle
