Introduction
A mechanical device surgically implanted into the patient that consists of a cuff, placed around the bulbar urethra or bladder neck, a pressure-regulating balloon, & a pump. The device is used to control opening & closing of the urethra manually & is the most commonly used surgical procedure for the treatment of male urethral insufficiency.
