Clinical significance
- abnormalities are found in neuromuscular diseases, myasthenia gravis, Eaton-Lambert syndrome & others
Procedure
- single fiber techniques record variation in single potentials in individual fibers
- usual macro EMG techniques measure the summated electrical activity of all fibers of a motor unit
