Function
- degrades circulating epinephrine & norepinephrine
- may account for 40% of ETOH degradation at intoxicating levels
- ADH-2 does not degrade ethylene glycol
an alcohol + NAD+ <--> an aldehyde or ketone + NADH
Cofactor: binds 2 Zn+2 per subunit (putative)
