Introduction
Class of support devices that is characterized by a system of air-filled pillows that act much like a static air-filled device. The bed is composed of a series of interconnected woven fabric air pillows that allow some air to escape through the support surface. The pillows can be variably inflated to adjust the level of pressure relief. The beds are waterproof, but excess water is absorbed. Some types will pulsate & oscillate periodically to redistribute pressure
