Origin
right aortic sinus
Course
- The RCA passes posterior to the pulmonary artery & along the AV groove between the right atrium & right ventricle. Branches from this segment of the RCA supply the free wall of the right ventricle
- The RCA continues in the AV groove to supply a segment of the posterior wall of the heart.
- A large posterior descending branch of the RCA may descend to supply the more of the posterior wall & the inferior wall/ apex of the heart.

- atrioventricular nodal artery
- sinuatrial artery (90%)
Distribution
- right ventricle
- posterior wall (segment)
- inferior wall/apex (many, if not most individuals)
- AV node (90%)
