chronic suppurative otitis media

Etiology

• central tympanic membrane perforation
• peripheral tympanic membrane perforation
  • may be associated with cholesteoma

Clinical manifestations

• diminished hearing, conductive hearing loss
• ear discharge
• NO otalgia (earache)

Management

• referral to otolaryngologist for evaluation & treatment
