Introduction
Wilhem S Frei, German dermatologist 1885-1943.
A diagnostic test for lymphogranuloma venereum. Intradermal injection of Frei antigen results in a positive delayed hypersensitivity reaction. It is not specific for lymphogranuloma venereum.
Frei antigen is a sterile preparation of inactivated Chlamydiae from domestic birds.
