Indications

• test anterior cruciate ligament

Procedure

• with the patient supine, knee flexed at 15-30 degrees, hold the proximal tibia with one hand & the foot with the other
• employ passive knee extension simultaneously rotating the foot outward

Interpretation

• anterior subluxation is a positive sign
